I am a Registered Psychologist with a strong focus on nature and equine-assisted therapy approaches. Rather than conducting my therapy sessions in an office setting, I typically work with clients outside surrounded by horses. I find that being outdoors and surrounded by these animals tends to help my clients feel more at ease and engage more deeply in the therapeutic process. I rely on an Integrative Approach to therapy, leaning heavily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Client Centered Therapy approaches.
I completed my Master of Science in Psychology at the University of Alberta in 2011 and my PhD in Psychology at the University of Alberta in 2014. My clinical work focuses on helping adults (18+) as they navigate terminal illness, grief, and major life transitions. Individuals experiencing these significant life events can benefit immensely from nature and animal-assisted interventions.
I am deeply motivated to provide guidance, support, and evidence-based interventions to assist my clients as they navigate and find meaning in life's most challenging transitions.
I will be accepting new clients in June 2025
